A suspected bisexual, Abdulakeem Daud, is on the run after allegedly being caught having intimacy with a fellow man, a police source has disclosed.
According to the policeman, an Islamic cleric around Phase 2, Adeniji Adele, Lagos, invited the police after Daud and his partner, known as Femi, were allegedly caught on February 20, 2025.
The police source said Daud had escaped before they got to the area, leaving Femi behind.
He said, “We were told the two suspects were caught in the act – having intimacy with each other, which is an offence punishable by law.
“But Daud had escaped before officers got there. We met his wife, who was weeping as she was surprised that her husband is bisexual. She told us that both Daud and Femi have been friends for a long time and that she didn’t suspect anything. She was not at home when the incident happened.
“Femi is in custody and he is helping us with our investigation. We are tracking the suspect, and I can assure you that he can’t hide anywhere in Nigeria. We will arrest him as long as he is in this country. Gay, bisexual, and lesbian acts are punishable offences with 14 years’ imprisonment.”
