The leadership of Advocates in the Defence Of Human Rights, Justice and Culture (ADHURIC) has paid a courtesy visit to Chief Akin Olujinmi SAN, to solicit his support for the organization.
The meeting which was held at the Olujinmi and Akeredolu Legal, Law Hub Ring Road, Ibadan in Oyo State on Friday 16th day of December 2022 was as a move to secure his fatherly, moral and professional support as well as his back up to the organization in other to achieve its mission and goals.
In attendance at the meeting are the National President Comrade Advocate Joseph Olusola Onagunwa; the Oyo State coordinator of ADHURIC Comrade Mrs Mutiat Jimoh; Comrade Kehinde Abdullahi and Comrade Mrs Mujeedat Olaibi.
Comrade Advocate Onagunwa in the meeting, disclosed the main objective of the visit "our main motive of paying him a visit is to kindly request for your fatherly assistance for moral advice as well as your back up to our organization in other to enable us achieve our goals"
Earlier in the remarks of the National President, he apologized on behalf of other members of the National Executive Committee, NEC, including Comrade Ola-oluwa Shittu; who were held down on the road from Lagos.
The Oyo state coordinator Comrade Mrs Jimoh while speaking to press expressed her excitement towards the outcome of the visit.
She said "Honestly, am happy to inform you that positive response were received from the chief as he was genuinely impressed, excited and he shows more interest in contributing positively to our human rights activities.
"Also,we received a lot of valuable and elderly advices from him such as encouragement, he encouraged and motivated our commitment to the human rights activities and also encouraged us to be ready to face many challenges in the task ahead of us"
While responding, the Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Chief Olujinmi commended and appreciated the leadership and representatives of the ADHURIC for their visit to him.
Chief Olujinmi SAN narrated his personal experience and highlighted few of his interventions in regard to human rights defense of helpless Nigerians.
The legal luminary who commended the human right activists for their efforts to ensure adequate peace and law through advocacy and protection of fundamental rights of all men in the society assured them of his unalloyed support in all ramifications all the time.
