Osun Civil Societies Coalition has disassociated themselves from a letter written to governor Ademola Adeleke by the Coalition of Osun State Civil Society Organizations letter seeking
In a statement signed by Secretary of the group, Comrade Emmanuel Olowu and made available to newsmen.
"The attention of Osun Civil Societies Coalition (OCSC) has been drawn to a purported letter written to Governor Ademola Adeleke on the appointment of an individual who is standing a criminal trial at a court in Osogbo as Senior Special Assistant.
We wish to state that the letter did not emanate from us and we hereby disassociate ourselves from it. Osun Civil Societies Coalition is different from Coalition of Osun State Civil Society Organizations. We had in the past warned against usage of the later platform by some individuals because of the confusion it will create.
Whoever has issue to address with Governor Adeleke or the state government should do so with his or her individual's organisation. Osun Civil Societies Coalition is an umbrella body of several organisations and will not in anyway act arbitrarily.
We also wish to state that the coalition doesn't have a representative in Governor Ademola Adeleke administration and the Governor is advised not to be deceived or misled into believing that civil society groups in Osun are represented in his government.
We're committed to engaging the government constructively in the interest of the general public.
