Esther Olowu, the mother of Comrade Emmanuel Olowu, the Chairman of the Committee for Defence of Human Rights, (CDHR) Osun State chapter, is dead.
The CDHR chairman announced the death of his mother on his verified Facebook account on Thursday evening.
She was 72, worked as Ancillary Nurse during the Nigeria Civil War.
Olowu wrote on his Facebook account, "Mummy just to say goodbye.
"Amid life, we are often faced with the harsh reality of death. Today 24 August 2023 my beloved mother breath her last breath. My mother, A woman who brought light, love, and warmth into the lives of those fortunate enough to know her.
"The pain in my heart is deep, as I grapple with the immense loss of such an incredible soul.
"My mother was a pillar of strength, a beacon of love. Her smile could brighten even the darkest of days, and her presence filled every room with a sense of comfort and joy.
"She dedicated her life to nurturing and caring for her family. My mother May your soul rest in peace" he added
